Bird 01
· Cardinal · Local Services
HoldtheSlot.com is built. You’re buying the bird.
A ready business for anyone a missed appointment hurts, from tutors and barbers to coaches and lessons. Clients pick an hour and pay a small hold on their operator's Stripe, then show up or forfeit. You get the live site, the Nest, and the keys. Revenue is unproven and this bird has never taken a dollar.
This button sends a keys request, not a charge. We write back first, then you settle the $2,500 through Wise or bank transfer. Nothing moves until that is done. You get a private payment request once we agree. There is no checkout on this page.
How the money works
Two payments and two accounts. That is the whole model.
Both paths run on Stripe test keys today, so no real money has moved either way. You flip to live keys at handoff.

Every asset, and how it transfers
This list matches the bird’s own Nest at /nest/assets, where statuses come from the running system. If something here says Live, you can go click it.

Straight talk
This is not a proven cash flow listing. Here is everything that is missing, said plainly.
- Revenue is $0. No operator has paid the $29 plan. No client has paid a hold. The Nest shows $0 MRR because that is the true number.
- Marketing to real operators has started. First 10 cold emails went out Sep 29 to solo tutors, booth barbers, and private hitting coaches from the Nest. Live Book plans and Connect holds already work. No revenue yet. We are not claiming paid subscribers or reply counts here.
- No customers and no audience. No email list, no social accounts, no traffic history worth the name.
- The books you see in the examples are samples. They are labelled as samples on the live site, and their holds are labelled as samples in the desk. They exist so you can click a working desk on day one.
- Payments are proven on Stripe test keys, not live ones. The full path works with Checkout, webhook, and hour held. Going live is your key, your webhook, and your afternoon.
- Terms and Privacy still show a handoff placeholder. You set entity, jurisdiction, and support email in the Nest at handoff so the banner drops. We do not invent a company.
- What you are buying is a finished build with a working product, a back room, the SOPs, and the name. $2,500 is the floor while the bird is fresh.
Hard questions
Straight answers from the live product today, not a pitch deck.
What happens on a no-show?
The hold payment already hit the operator’s Stripe. The desk marks no-show; the hour is protected. Operator policy language on the book and confirmation covers forfeit vs applied-to-visit.
Does the hold count toward the full visit price?
The operator controls that wording. The product’s job is to capture the hold on Stripe and keep the hour off the open grid.
SMS reminders?
Email only on purpose. Confirmation plus reminders without an SMS bill.
Multi-staff or multi-location?
Classic is one operator book (one scarce chair, lane, or lesson block). Not a clinic OS.
Who owns Stripe and the customer data?
Operator Connect and their Stripe. You buy the Nest, domain, and the machine. You set the legal entity in Nest at handoff.
Any revenue yet?
No revenue yet and no paid $29 books. Live money paths are proven on test keys for the Book plan and Connect holds. Outbound started Sep 29 with the first 10 cold emails to solo tutors, booth barbers, and private hitting coaches from the Nest hello@ mailbox. We are not claiming reply counts or paid subscribers.
What do I finish after I buy?
Domain and DNS as needed, Nest access, Stripe Connect on your account, and Nest Settings and Legal for entity, jurisdiction, and support email. Support is 2 hours included, then $50/hr, with production bugs free for 30 days.
Can I try the product before buying the business?
Yes. Walk holdtheslot.com, book a demo hour, and open the Willow desk (unlocked on purpose). For a live walk with Ryan, pick a time at starterbirds.com/bird-call.
